This piece is inspired by a childhood doll. Do you remember the Topsy Turvy Little Red Riding-hood rag doll, three characters in one? If you still have yours, it's vintage and worth a few bucks (we won't say how old we are).
.
I designed this #artdoll with Red Riding Hood’s face showing some trepidation as she carries her basket filled with breads, lavender and crystals along the path to grandma's house. Then turning the piece around to reveal the wolf wearing grandma’s night shaw with a story book in his paws as he awaits the little girls arrival. The red cape lends to a background of sorts covered in moss and crystals giving an organic forest vibe.
I sculpted this doll out of Creative Paperclay® For the costuming I use a lot of vintage and new fabrics I have collected throughout the years...thrifted clothes with interesting textures and beads are my favorites. I love to upcycle!
9" tall 5" deep and 6" wide
